Area 51 is a voyage into the vault of the strangest, most provacative, and entertaining material collected from the furthest netherworlds of radio, including real pirate radio and eclectic shortwave broadcast airchecks.

Area 51 was originally conceived as a six hour block of entertainment for WBCQ's latest service on 5.110 MHz shortwave. On July 27, 2003: Area 51, a block of eclectic programming hosted by Timtron, Michael Ketter, and Allan Weiner, debuted at 8PM ET on 5.100 MHz.
